Our contribution to the WordPress community

This is not our first time sponsoring WordCamp US – we’ve been consistently supporting flagship WordCamps, including WordCamp Europe and WordCamp Asia, since 2022.

But our involvement goes beyond financial support – we’ve also been actively contributing to the WordPress project and helping organize these events.

Hostinger has participated in the Five for the Future pledge, with 26 contributors spread into different teams, including Documentation, Plugins, Support, and Polyglot. 

During WordCamp US, our team will contribute to the WordPress project on Contributor Day. I will be leading the Documentation Table. This marks my third time leading the table, following WordCamp Asia and Europe. I’m excited to welcome new contributors to the Documentation project.

Last but not least, Emma Young, our Head of Content, will moderate one of the Campfire Chats. This new discussion format at WordCamp US is designed for casual, relaxed conversations where participants can share insights more freely.

New for WordCamp US 2024: the Showcase Day

Campfire Chat isn’t the only new addition to WordCamp US this year. 

You may have noticed that the event spans four days, unlike the usual three-day flagship WordCamps. This extended schedule will include a special Showcase Day on September 18th, where you can explore presentations on innovative, cutting-edge WordPress projects.

What’s particularly exciting is that these sessions will delve into real-world innovations from renowned websites like CNN, Disney, Vox Media, and The New York Post.
