Stay current with our latest product updates, including new tools and features that make managing your websites faster and easier. We’ll update this article each month.

October updates

Web hosting & managed WordPress hosting

• To help protect your websites against security threats, we have now made Smart WordPress auto updates available to all clients. The feature keeps WordPress core, plugins, and themes up-to-date, promptly patching known vulnerabilities. We’ll make an automatic backup before each update, so you can always roll back to a previous version in case something goes wrong. Control update settings in the WordPress → Security section of hPanel:

• Get started with your WordPress site faster with updated and simplified Hostinger Easy Onboarding plugin. It now features a more streamlined checklist and a personalized flow, adapting to your setup method, website’s type, installed plugins, and hosting plan.

• Manage pages faster and easier with our new Edit Pages sidebar, integrated directly into the Gutenberg editor. Create and delete pages, and effortlessly switch between them with just one click. The feature is available with the Hostinger Easy Onboarding plugin, free for all Hostinger clients.

Hostinger Website Builder

For Hostinger Website Builder’s team, October was all about upgrading and simplifying the eCommerce experience:

• Accept local online payments in India with Razorpay. It enables you to offer 100+ payment options for your online store visitors, including debit and credit cards, bank integrations, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, Mobikwik, PayZapp, and Freecharge.

• Easily change the look and feel of all your product pages at once with a Product page template. Switch the layout, pick new colors, or add sections – anything you change will apply to all product pages. Note that we’re rolling out the feature in phases and it’s currently available on newly created stores only.

• Group your offers easier – simply add your product and let AI suggest the best-fitting category for it.

• Choose how long your digital product links are available for your clients after they purchase it. Previously, all links were valid for 48 hours. Now, you can choose from four options, ranging from 24 hours to 30 days.

• To increase your brand recognition, automatic emails from your store will now come from a unique, store-specific email address in the following format: your-store-name@store.hostinger.com. This concerns all transactional emails such as order, shipping and appointment confirmations, invoices, digital file download links, and contact form notifications.

VPS hosting

• Deploy pre-configured environments in a few clicks using these five new VPS templates:
  • Uptime Kuma – monitor services, get downtime alerts, and create custom status pages with this open-source monitoring tool.
  • Appwrite – build applications at any scale using your preferred programming languages and tools with this open-source platform.
  • Supabase – build your web, mobile, and AI applications with a dedicated Postgres database, authentication, instant APIs, and realtime subscriptions.
  • Dokku – deploy, manage, and scale web applications using this open-source Platform as a Service.
  • FreePBX – build a phone system tailored your their needs with the world’s most popular open-source internet protocol (IP) private branch exchange (PBX).

• Our updated Browser terminal now has auto login, so you can start using it with one click. Even better, you can copy/paste commands more smoothly than ever, and an SSH-like experience provides a familiar, efficient environment.

hPanel

• Manage your services in your own language – our all-in-one dashboard hPanel is now available in Japanese, bringing the total number of supported languages to 25.

Email

Get more storage, enhanced security, management, and better video meeting capabilities with higher-tier Google Workspace plans. We now offer all three of them on hPanel: Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Plus. Also, you can get them 50% off for this Black Friday season.

September updates

Web hosting & managed WordPress hosting

The trust of WordPress enthusiasts continues to grow: we now host over 4 million WordPress websites. Here’s how we improved our hosting:

• Our customers in Germany and Central Europe can now enjoy faster speed and enhanced security with our new data center in Frankfurt, the 12th in total. It features an upgraded 100 Gb/s bandwidth, ensuring your websites run smoothly even during peak hours. We’ll upgrade our other data centers to 100 Gb/s soon.

• With our content delivery network (CDN) enabled, your websites now load even faster for visitors from Africa and Australia. We launched new Points of Presence (PoP) – edge servers storing cached website files – in these regions.

Hostinger Website Builder

• Speed up the creation and expansion of your online shop by automatically generating details for up to 10 physical products. Upload product images, and our AI-Powered Product Information Generator will create suitable titles, subtitles, descriptions, and labels for each of them.

VPS hosting

• Simplify application deployment and management across different environments with Dokploy. This free, open-source platform supports multiple programming languages and frameworks, giving you freedom to run various applications and custom builds. Easily install it on your VPS with just a few clicks using our Dokploy template.
• Quickly access community forums for help and support on operating systems, control panels, or applications – most of our VPS templates now include direct links to these forums.

Email

• Creating your first email address? Start smoothly and efficiently with our Getting Started Hub. It will guide you through the main steps, such as connecting a domain, setting up apps and devices, and sending your first message.

Note that the content delivery network and AI-Powered Information Generator are available with Business web hosting and all cloud hosting plans.

August updates

August was truly special: our global client base has surpassed 3 million, and the number of managed domains has reached 5 million. We’re happy to serve customers from over 150 countries, with India, Brazil, the USA, Indonesia, and France leading the way.

Web hosting & managed WordPress hosting

• Save time – our WordPress AI Troubleshooter can resolve even more issues at once. Now, it applies all possible auto-fixes for the 403 Forbidden error. Besides quicker website recovery, the tool will inform you how it resolved the problem. We are working to provide similar functionality for other errors like 404 Not Found or 500 Internal Server.

• Efficiently manage your domains and avoid potential disruptions by taking timely action, such as addressing grace period statuses. The updated Websites dashboard now features clear visual indicators for domain statuses. We’re still testing the change, with a full rollout planned in the upcoming months.

Hostinger Website Builder

• Create professional product images and ensure a consistent look across your business website with AI-powered image background remover. Upload an image to the product’s page, hover over it, and click the Edit background button. Then, pick a clean, solid background color that highlights the product.

• Quickly upload large inventories with AI-powered CSV product upload feature. Don’t worry about format compatibility – our AI analyzes and automatically adjusts the file data, saving you time. The feature is in beta, currently allowing up to 50 products per file. See it in action:

• Build your audience or promote your brand by offering free or paid digital content. Offering free eBooks, courses, or software tools lets you test the market, launch beta versions, and gather user feedback. Note that you won’t need to use a payment provider for free products.

• Let your clients personalize their orders by adding more information in a custom field. For example, they can enter a name your bakery should write on the cake, or add a link to a file for a T-shirt print.

Note that these updates are available with the Business Website Builder plan.

Virtual private server (VPS) hosting

Our VPS team launched two new templates that allow you to quickly and efficiently deploy a pre-configured environment, bringing the total number to 75:

• Coolify – simplify the deployment and management of applications and databases with our VPS Coolify hosting and this modern, open-source, self-hosted control panel.

• Ollama – run and fine-tune your large language models (LLMs), including Ollama, the Llama3 model, and Open WebUI, with this versatile yet lightweight platform and our VPS LLM hosting.

hPanel

• To help you get things done faster on hPanel, we’ve moved the Home, Websites, Domains, Emails, VPS, Billing, and Marketplace menus from the topbar to the left-hand sidebar on desktop and tablet. If you haven’t seen the updated menu yet, a one-time pop-up with a quick video tutorial will help you understand how the new navigation works.

• We added five new languages to the hPanel, making it accessible to an even wider international community. The new languages are Polish, Vietnamese, Hebrew, Thai, and Romanian.

Domains

• You will now get domain expiration and WHOIS contact data reminder emails directly from us. As we will be relying less on third parties, you will get a more consistent and professional user experience.
